Interesting comments flowing about The Inauguration.

Yes, it was wonderful seeing the Queen of Soul (with covered breasts, lol) doing her do!! Her outfit, hat included was a nice blend of old and new - reminding us all of those fabulous church women.

I heard nothing wrong in her interpretation and delivery of "My Country Tis of Thee" - it was quite enjoyable.

BTW - just read in the LA Times online that since Aretha Franklin sang at the inauguration thousands of people have called Luke Song, owner of - Mr. Song Millinery where Aretha got her hat, to get one for themselves. lolololol!!!!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18026891827830969282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7428262663623493707.post-90728580813925847702009-01-23T18:33:00.000-05:002009-01-23T18:33:00.000-05:00My grandmother would have loved that hat. Then she started doing what I call the Jodeci/Anita Baker/Toni/Chaka. You know, the type of singing where you can't understand the words. Aretha wasn't even pleased with her performance.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7428262663623493707.post-52954349821524545512009-01-23T10:47:00.000-05:002009-01-23T10:47:00.000-05:00WHATEVER!!!!RE: some people hating!!some people, a...WHATEVER!!!!
RE: some people hating!!

some people, as i said in the post about the poem above, jsut can't be positive if you beat them with a stick of positivity!! lol

LOVED her Hat!!

i think people are projecting and again, it is about culture and class which you cannot buy!
some just dont have it!

She can change any song to any way that she wants to do! she Is AREATHA=QUEEN OF SOUL!
get over it!
**
i am pleased the she covered her breasts for this event!!!
lololol
no need for a peep show !! hahahahaa

I thank God for her life--and also i Thank God because i just rec'd a 500.00 check in the mail for a talk i gave and totally forgot all about the money!!
hahaha
should have gotten it a while ago!

Heeeyyyy on my way to the bank!!
SING RE-RE-YOU STILL GOT IT!
SANG ANYWAY YOU WANT TO!
