Hollywood has to be dragged kicking and screaming to make films about black folks, but when they finally get them made, they barely promote them, but let a black film get a little buzz and they go crazy trying to get the largest piece of the pie. God knows when folks will get to see Push.
I really want to see this. Thanks for giving me the heads up on it. I hadn't heard of it before your post on it.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea, like Missy said thanks for the heads up. I fell in love with the book and was happy that they were going to do a movie about it. It's a shame this film won't be seen anytime soon.
ReplyDeletei'll just sit back and wait...
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about reading PUSH again. I was not aware that it had been made into a movie. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it won't be forever before it is released.
ReplyDeleteHappy to learn that Push was made into a film. I'll be even happier to see it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this! I didn't know that they'd made it into a film either.
ReplyDeleteI sincerely hope that they manage to convey the integrity of the book into the film. Too often the true heart of a book is lost in its on screen translation.
I was turned on to the book by a good friend & she has YET to disappoint :)
Madd love to you JAX!!
