My brother and I were talking about Serena and Venus Williams the other day. When they're not competing, there's just no point in watching the event, at least for us. Apparently, countless other people - white and of color - feel the same way. Just look at how their competing, or absence, directly impacts viewer ratings. They raise the competition to another level.
So, I am really looking forward to Wimbledon 2009!

I'm glad they're so confident and skilled. It's another great feeling to have in this age of despair for so many minorities. I wish them well.
