John McCain Cares About The Economic Crisis So Much That As Of Yesterday He Hadn't Even Read The Bailout Plan Yet

John McCain is blowing smoke up the asses of the American people. Yesterday, he said his vote on the economic bailout bill didn't matter, then today he's willing to dump his campaign to suddenly run to Washington, DC to get in the middle of an economic crisis that he admits not to understand himself. What scares me is white people only see the antics and don't look at the substance, like the fact that McCain has not even bothered to read the bailout package in the first damn place.

The John Edwards Saga Has Legs....Long Ones!....And What Makes Reille Hunter Any Different Than Sheneneh Jenkins From The Streets?

I always find it extremely interesting when rich and powerful white men screw up on a national and international level. It is humorous how quickly their advocates start talking about how folks are human, all people make mistakes, and that these matters are private. I also find it interesting how black folks react to these high profile scandals with a cynicism and acceptance that proves that we as a social group are not equal and never will be equal in American society's eyes.

Reverend Jesse "Baby Daddy" Jackson became a running political joke in the eyes of white America and many black Americans with a barely tolerated voice and absolutely no hopes of any political power, but John Edwards shouldn't count his career dead in the water? And President Bill Clinton gets to pout and screw over Barack Obama after black Americans were his most vocal supporters when he was caught sticking cigars in some star-struck intern's private parts?

If Barack Obama was not the nominee and he was the third place finisher, now private citizen and this kind of story broke about him, would folks really be talking about it in the same way they are discussing Edwards? Everyone and their mama knows that the answer would be a resounding Hell Nawh!!!! Could you imagine if Reille Hunter or Andrew Young was black? Payoffs and private houses to all the parties in involved, they would be talking about criminal charges if this was Barack Obama. Yet, it's John Edwards and it's a private matter. It doesn't matter that he lied, it doesn't matter that he is still lying, he's white, rich, and powerful and lives by clearly different rules.

Further, I am stunned at how quickly the world is always willing to give white women a free pass. The more I think about that fact, the madder I get. Both Elizabeth Edwards and Hillary Clinton went into national Presidential campaigns knowing that their husbands had potential explosive sexual skeletons in their respective closets. And we are feeling sorry for them?!!!! Would these same white folks extend the same sympathy and pity if the wronged, but knowledgeable woman was Michelle Obama? I sincerely doubt it. Folks would be talking about how arrogant BOTH the Obamas were.

Everyone is wrong in this case, from John Edwards, his wife, and his mistress, to his buddies who helped him maintain his love affair and those who tried to help him cover it up. Yet, while everyone is shouting what a bastard John Edwards is, all the white women involved are victims. Say what? The last thing both Elizabeth Edwards and Reille Hunter are is passive victims in this case. Elizabeth Edwards stopped being a victim when she told her husband to go on with his campaign and Reille Hunter chased after Edwards, so she was NEVER a victim, she was just another woman putting her needs and desires before anyone else's.

And what exactly is the difference between what John Edwards' mistress did and what black women get criticized for all the damn time? This woman had an affair with a married man and produced a child of wedlock with an unnamed father with no job and no means of income relying on others to foot the bills. And folks are talking about it's a private matter!!!! Who's zooming who here? Did folks forget last month during the CNN Black In America specials when they were blasting black women for out-of-wedlock births and for absent black fathers? Why isn't that a private matter? Why are the social and sexual behaviors of black women open to NATIONAL discussion, but the very same social and sexual behaviors of white women are sacred and private?

This is a double standard, that I am no longer willing to accept. That damn dog just don't hunt no more!

John Edwards On Nightline - More Questions Than Answers

After watching John Edwards on Nightline last night, I don't think he really helped himself or his family. The man was just not credible. He clearly left more questions dangling that he actually answered. In fact, his lies became even bigger and more calculating the more his extramarital affair was placed into context and into a timeline. John Edwards did a whole lot more than just cheat on his wife, he attempted to hoodwink the American people and we should never forget that fact.

It's clear now that Reille Hunter was not hired to make videos for Edwards' campaign, she was given a bogus job to justify her presence hanging around Edwards when she had no other earthly reason to be there. And it is extremely difficult to believe that NO ONE in Edwards campaign didn't know about the affair. In my view, close Edwards aide Jonathan Prince was talking out of both sides of his neck. Why are you on television talking about Edwards if you knew nothing about the affair? Why are you defending him? Prince knew, he just turned a blind eye like a lot of other folks in his campaign.

It is extremely troubling that both Reille Hunter and the alleged father of her child and former Edwards staffer Andrew Young are both living in multi-million dollar homes with no jobs and no clear sources of income. And when does someone need $15,000 a month to move away and begin their lives anew? And I'm not buying that Edwards didn't know that they were being paid off. He is clearly a talented and well-practiced liar.

I saw a man desperately trying to hang on to what was left of his political career. Still hanging on, when he needed to be letting go and focusing on repairing his family bonds. John Edwards needs to get some help. He has major issues. I did not see a man that understood that he attempted to run for President knowing that he had a atomic bomb scandal brewing in his closet and decided to still run anyway. He didn't apologize to the Democratic party or the American people for lying and for what could have been the biggest devastation of a political party if he had been the Democratic nominee.

This is not about public or private business, this is about right and wrong, and John Edwards is flat-out wrong here.

Another Lying And Cheating Ass Politician Bites The Dust - Former Senator John Edwards Admits To Extramarital Affair

I never liked John Edwards. He always struck me as a Slick Willie character and he has just proved that is exactly what he is. Edwards is a world class lying and cheating jerk-off. He has finally admitted to lying for YEARS about engaging in a extramarital affair, but he can't even do that honestly. He's still being a slimy bastard by trying to parse, measure, and qualify his despicable actions.

Not only did he pull a Reverend Jesse Jackson and give this woman a job she was not even remotely qualified for, he paid her with his campaign funds. In the most disgusting fashion, he desperately tries to make clear that he started this affair while his wife's cancer was in remission. As if that makes any difference. Elizabeth Edwards has been fighting cancer off and on for years, is it really somehow BETTER because her husband decided to have UNPROTECTED sex with another woman while she was healthy?

And in typical male fashion and adding insult to injury, Edwards thinks admitting that he didn't love his mistress makes what he did different. That remark really proves how callous and phony a man John Edwards truly is. Not only has he embarrassed his wife, now his mistress gets tossed under the bus as well. And he is clearly still a lying sneaky bastard because his recent meeting with his former mistress was done without his wife's knowledge.

And someone needs to tell Mr. Edwards that until he has a paternity test, he has no idea who EXACTLY is the father of that child.
