Words For Warfare

“You cannot look at the success of black people by seeing who is on the front of Ebony magazine or by looking at Oprah. When you consider that only 1 percent of all business revenue comes from black-owned businesses, you have to ask yourself if this class disparity is the kind of society we want.” - Elaine Brown

She's on point because the typically out of touch White liberal or foolish conservative always reference the Oprahs and Michael Jordans when they try to suggest that we're a lazy ppl.

I agree with her. I've never bought into the idea that just because "some" black folks are doing well, that their success is a barometer for Black America. It is not.

They are the top 1% of the top 10% and any lame duck politico, liberal, or anyone who tries to use their success as an excuse to stop the fight for economic, racial, and socio-political justice in America is dead wrong.

it seems that it may not be the type of class disparity that we want-but it keeps growing
one-sided as the years go by.

excellent question that she asks. the thing as we have discussed before, is that many don't like it but aren't doing anything about it. either by a strong will that won't or one of don't know and not trying to find out.

widespread consistnat synergy-moving in a productive-positive direction is what is lacking.

there is more than enough negative moving forward and quickly it appears.
