You see despite the desire of you and others to have the "strong leader" in the seat of governor or president - they both have 2 powerful legislative bodies keep them in check.
According to my Civics 101 course the LEGISLATURE creates the budget and allocates money for spending. The executive runs the agencies that spend the money.
For me as a conservative independent I look at the SYSTEM called "California", make note of how in most other times PROGRESSIVES say that "California is in the lead with regard to POLICIES that other states follow" and I am made to wonder why you and other Progressives don't make note of the bankrupt state of California as symbolic of a political ideology which shifts the financial burden from the PEOPLE onto the GOVERNMENT?
Certainly the Ponzi scheme always collapses.
I'm disheartened...I'll be receiving a good ole IOU from California...damn them!
