A Friendly Reminder That This Is Professor Tracey's Blog - If You Don't Like What's Written Here - Go Start Your Own Blog Today!
I love having readers and their comments on this blog. It makes blogging fun and interesting. Unlike a lot of bloggers, I post nearly every single comment, even if it's stupid, pointless, or even rude. Where I draw the line is when folks come on this blog whining and crying about something that AIN'T EVER GONNA CHANGE.
Professor Tracey will always express her opinions on Aunt Jemima's Revenge as she wishes, love it or hate it. I will shoot from the hip, kick ass and take names later, and I will unabashedly support the Los Angeles Lakers until doomsday. If you understand that, you are always welcome on this blog to express your opinion.
You don't have to agree with me, in fact I welcome the difference of opinion, but don't come on this blog telling me that I shouldn't have posted on something or someone. That dog don't hunt. If you want to discuss, debate, or offer a suggestion, great, I love it, but what gets posted on this blog is my choice and my decision only.
Right now, I think Chris Brown is a woman-biting and woman-choking psycho, that Damages and the Closer are only so-so this season, that winter sucks, that anyone that wants 14 children is certifiable, that we are in a depression, not a recession, that dogs should be smart enough to walk themselves, that A-Rod could be fired from his job for using illegal drugs just like any other average worker, and that black folks would stop trying to excuse the inexcusable, like Chris Brown kicking the ass of black woman and leaving her stranded on the street.
Now you may think differently and that is fine. Talk to me and tell me why, I will appreciate your point of view, but don't jack up a post, commenting on something random that I never mentioned and don't tell that I should not have addressed the issue at all. And keep your random ass psychology 101 evaluations of my reader's comments to yourself, if you are that talented of a mind reader, you should be off trying to make a million bucks, not reading my little blog.
No disrespect to my regular readers, but to the limited number of folks that clearly want to be members of the Chris Brown and Soledad O'Brien fan clubs, this ain't the blog for you.

LMAO
LOL @ that pic. Are the Chris Brown supporters already getting to you? I was listening to the radio this morning and a bunch of women over 30 calling up making excuses for Chris Brown. These type of folk have a lot of time on their hands so you will be probably very busy deleting comments.
Preach it Professor!
Prof. Tracey you know I love your opinions and your blog whether we have the same point of view or not. I think your blog and probably 3 other blogs that I've read out of many do real talk about subjects and allow people to voice opposing opinions. It seems like many blogs have this dictatorship thing going on where if you say something slightly not in sync with their opinion they flip out and the regular commenters come out in droves to attack that person. I'm not sure why we can't civily agree to disagree. Anywho, keep doing ya thing!
As far as Chris Brown/Rhianna situation (IF he did do it,he should have consequences and if truly sorry given a second chance to redeem unless this is a repeat offense) I want to hear all the facts first.
Rhianna to me has never looked to be "stable" just by some of the things I've seen her do at appearances. I'm NOT saying she did something to deserve to be hit, what I'm saying is that there are two sides and I've seen and heard of women that will do things physically to themselves (I've seen kids literally beat the crap out of themselves) to get someone (man or woman) in trouble because they got scorned in someway. Again, I need to know more info. I am kind of suprised though that Rhianna side hasn't said that much. I know they can't because its a pending case, but for some reason I just feel like more a statement could be said. Unless they're really trying to keep this on the low while being investigated.
OK you're getting Chris Brown trolls? I have heard of wingnut trolls from Hannity world, or sports team trolls (look at what happens on Yankees vs Red Sox or Lakers vs Celts/Cleveland blogs) but Breezy trolls?
Must be the same ghettofab or ignorant bammas (usually females, as the males either don't have internet access or are illiterate)who supported R Kelly hahaha. I'm hoping the "Boondocks" cartoon will harpoon those silly spooks ( yeah they haven't earned the right to be called black people, per Chris Rock) the way it did the R Kelly folks...
LOL :D
Ok, what did i miss??!! lolol
i had a few lectures to give yesterday so i was not online as much as i ususally am..

SHO-YA-RIGHT!
LOL! Check you out Professor, I love it. You are too funny.
Tell em' girl!
Especially that part about the Lakers!
Whats up with Soledad? I missed that part??
@TD1016 -
Thanks! But how exactly exactly does a sister look "stable" or anyone for that matter. And see my problem is this argument that you can "do something" to provoke you being beaten into submission. Self-defense is one thing, wilding out on somebody is another. I will need to hear more about what people think "his side" would be.
@Chris aka Uncle Nat -
You know our folks love to be trailblazers on extremely unimportant things. So, yes I have some Chris Brown nuts to go with my Soledad O'Brien nuts and my SUV with your pastor in the pulpit nuts. And yes, disappointingly mostly female. Sigh...........
@bbgcmac -
Go check out my old ass Fuck Soledad O'Brien post, some dude's panties are all in a bunch over me and my readers getting at Soledad's jacked up Black In America report.
@ Prof Tracey,
I guess because I've worked with mental health issues most of my career, even though you can't always tell, I've gotten good to kind of pin pointing behaviors and a the signs that there are that something doesn't seem right. And like I said there have been somethings I've seen that, for me, say something ain't right.
I don't know if you were talking about something I wrote or maybe I didn't say it right, but I'm not saying that she provoked anything, I'm saying there's the other side that he may never have hit her and she put those bruises on herself. It's playing devils advocate, because whether people want to believe it or not, jacked up this like that does happen. I've seen people do that to themselves and had to intervene, because they wanted to punish themselves or someone that hurt them. Whether physically or emotionally.
Like I said, if he did it, he should have a consequence. Believe coming from a mom who had it done to her for 20 years and witnessing it, I can definitly sympathized with Rhianna. No person whether man or woman has the right to lay hands period. I will say one thing though (and this is more related to a comment on another blog), many people feel that a woman can't hurt a man physically as like a man can hurt a woman. Try telling that to the men who are DV victims that I work with. When you get in that type of rage the strength is all the same man or woman.
Professor Tracey, thank you for speaking out. I find this whole episode Chris Brown/Rhianna is just sickening. Rhianna is the same age of my daughter. Chris Brown is 19 and he is already a woman beater already and people who are supporting him, rumours from she gave him STD, she was a jealous freak and all these are lies. All I have to say on the subject, may the Lord have mercy on their souls. I pray that Rhianna can heal from this and get someone who truly treasures her and love her.
PT-
I have loved your blog from the beginning. The Chris Brown/Rhianna situation is disturbing. I have a teenage brother who is 16. As you may or may not know, I grew up in a household where my father verbally, psychologically, and physically abused my mother and us on an almost daily basis. I am afraid that my brother will become an abuser once he starts dating. I feel that any young lady that he dates ought to be warned that he grew up in an abusive household. I ADORE my brother but if he abused a girl, I would make sure that he took responsibility for his actions, even if that meant him going to jail. There is no excuse for domestic violence. PERIOD. I find the tendency to jump to the man's defense abhorrent. And what's also appalling is that most of his supporters are women.
Hey Prof. Tracey,
The defense of Chris Brown and R. Kelly is very telling of (Black female) humankind. So many are convinced that Rihanna provoked him to bite her fingers, man-handle her, and leave her stranded in the street. Just because there are a number of women who've had a man strike them out of self-defense, everyone's ready to come to the defense of Chris Brown and demonize Rihanna. Prior to Sunday, there were no such rumors of her contracting herpes from Jay-Z, of her having cold sores/herpes flare-ups, or of her being a cheater. The one jealousy rumor is still simply a rumor. She got her ass beaten and thrown into the street and now these rumors are coming out of people's asses.
People are speculating guilt on her part because she didn't release a statement soon enough and because she hadn't come forward to report the incident to authorities. It's very common for women to not report their abusers. Just because Rihanna's a celeb, she's automatically brave? I really wish people would STFU and quit acting as if they understand abuse. Abuse is much, much more than getting hit and being left with bruises.
What breaks my heart even more is that sorry-ass Black women are defending his actions a la R. Kelly. Disgusting.
Speak your mind Professor Tracy. I had this a while back on my blog a while ago. And I say you are so right. It's my blog screw what others say because they can make their own damn blog.
I got curious so I went back. I remember that post.
