Can Hillary Clinton Win The National Presidential Election Without Barack Obama As Her Vice-President?

Clinton won Nevada yesterday, now the media pundits are leaning her way again. I never doubted that Hillary could win the nomination, but the overall election? Is the sudden reason all the Democrats were playing nice in the last debate is because there is going to be talk of a Clinton/Obama ticket? Of course, next week could be full of political mud-slinging and dirty tactics and we could be right back where we were last week. Also, Barack Obama could convincingly win in South Carolina and Hill will be getting out the tissue again. What do you think?

Hi Professor Tracey,

I actually think it's going to be Clinton/ Edwards.

I think that a Clinton/ Obama ticket would be too overwhelming for most Americans.

Why do you think it would be to overwhelming? I just don't see Hillary embracing Edwards. He's been way too nasty to her.

How was the flea market?

Professor Tracey,

First; I don't think we have seen any where near the racist attacks that we would see if Obama was on the ticket for the general election.

Add that to the rabid hatred many conservatives have for Hillary and it would be one big mess.

I think most Americans are pretty slow to accept change. So to ask them to vote for a woman and a Black candidate at once would be asking a whole lot.

The flea market was geat! I bought a couple of Cds and a slingpack.

The best part was people watching, the weather was great so there were a lot of people out.

I don't think it is the race issue that will nix a unity ticket. I think it is the charisma factor. Obama's "likeablness" highlights her failures.
