One Tiny Final Question About Gwen Ifill, Sarah Palin, And The VP Debate
The following question remains on my mind since the conclusion of the Vice-Presidential debate. Would Sarah Palin and her GOP handlers have actually dared to prepare for the debate with the intention of not answering direct questions from the moderator and further, actually have the gall and the disrespect to openly state that she was not going to address direct questions from the moderator if Gwen Ifill had not been black and female? I really have to wonder if that tactic would have been used if a white, male journalist such as Tom Brokaw or Ted Koppel had been the moderator instead.
And as a even tinier side question on this same subject, I have to wonder why not one of Ifill's so-called colleagues didn't have the guts, professionalism, or sense of fairness to call Sarah Palin and the McCain campaign on this obvious racist and sexist tactic.
