The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly With Black Women
The Good - The last defendant in the 2006 gang rape of an 11-year-old black girl in Wisconsin was sentenced.
The Bad - No mention of what the victim is doing now or who is looking out for her or if she is getting any help to recover from her ordeal.
The Ugly - A local resident and black woman, LaToya Bell remarked about the case and the victim, "Five years? Ten years? That's ridiculous, They (are) getting time for nothing. That girl, she knew what she was doing." Several other black women nodded in agreement with Ms. Bell's statements.
I'm not sure how black women can change things for themselves, if we have to fight almost everyone including other black women to get anyone to care about our well-being.
