Hip Hop industry giveth and Hip Hop industry taketh away. Scott Storch who was on top of the world a few years ago, seems to be on a fast elevator to rock bottom. Can't say I feel sorry for someone that threw away millions of dollars so casually. I'm sure McDonald's is hiring in Florida.

Superstar Rapper T.I. Gets Over Again!

I hope rapper T.I. pays his lawyers a bonus, they have truly earned it. How does a self-proclaimed "seven-time felon" get away with community service and a pending 12 month jail sentence, after getting busted with unregistered machine guns? And how is the hell is T.I. going to give talks to children about the "dangers" of weapons and drugs, when his next album will surely be filled with songs glorifying and celebrating the use of guns and drugs? Anyone that brings him into a community center should be fired!

Considering the manpower and firepower the authorities used to arrest T.I. and now this extremely weak resolution seems extremely fishy. Not mention, this plea deal sends the completely wrong message to black youth. Young people don't view a 1,000 hours of community service as a huge penalty to pay for getting arrested with a small personal arsenal. The "system" fails black youth and the black community, again!

Remy Ma Convicted Of Assault - Facing A Possible 25 Year Sentence

I was going to post this morning, that I strongly believed that rapper Remy Ma was going to be convicted today because her defense was so weak. I decided to be kind and hope that she and her attorneys would have made a deal. They didn't make a deal and Remy went down hard. Remy deserves to go to jail and she is now definitely going away for a long time. What a waste of talent and what a waste of youth. She has two children that will be raised by someone else and her career is over. I don't see the judge giving her a break, her sentence is going to be long. The other shame is no one in hip hop will learn a lesson from this because she is a woman. Her pointless act of violence and loss of freedom will not register with young black males for one second.
