Colin Powell - A Cautionary Tale For Black Republicans
Yesterday, Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama and ten seconds after his announcement, all his buddies, friends, supporters, and worshipers in the Republican party turned on his ass like a pack of wild dogs.
Pat Buchanan, George Will, and Rush Limbaugh proved that nearly all white Republicans think and believe the same racist things about black folks because it didn't matter that Powell had multiple reasons to endorse Obama and to criticize McCain, in their eyes, Powell only endorsed Obama because he was black.
Despite all the racist nastiness of this campaign, the idea that "black people stick together" is the most vile. Republicans in their attacks on Colin Powell have proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they do not believe that African Americans are equal human beings with the right to come to their own observations, conclusions, and decisions. That is an absolutely outrageous belief to hold in the 21st century.
With this campaign, the Republican party has proven not only that politics has passed them and their antiquated beliefs by, but the entire world of American people has passed them by as well.
