Last Night At The GOP Convention - White Women On Parade!

Women of color better be paying attention to this election or start learning how to play hockey, because the white women of the GOP are ready, willing, and able to sell all women of color down the river to get Sarah Palin's crazy, extremist ass in the White House.

If Sarah Palin represents all women, why couldn't the GOP produce one prominent Republican woman of color to help introduce and welcome her as the GOP's VP nominee? Are John McCain and Sarah Palin running for the Presidency of the White States of America? I am pointing out this fact for the second time in two days. Am I the only one that finds this absence of women of color to be very glaring omission for a campaign that is tying to sell Palin as a historic vote for women?

And I keep wondering why the media fails to even address such a glaring failure by the GOP to even engage millions of women of color. And why aren't the women of color in the GOP asking these same questions? That's why being a black Republican makes no sense to me, it's like being a gay Republican, you're allowed to be at the party, but don't expect to be let into the VIP section. So, how exactly are your views being represented?

Women of color better wake up, if you think we have been invisible up to now, wait till McCain and Palin get in the White House, we will become extinct.

hi Professor Tracey-

you said:

"...we will become extinct."

i say:

that's the plan.

too damn fertile, women of color.

this is why there is condemnation when women/girls of color have babies and a celebration when white women/girls have them.

tah dah! simple.

i promise, i crack myself up!

Ballad for sarah palin's babymommadrama

Before anybody
politically right of center
says one word of defense
for this sweet young pale
pretty girl can we hear
a disclaimer? Goes like this:

We regret demonizing whole
generations of young black
unwed females [not pale nor
considered pretty by white
ethnocentric persons]. We
regret stereotyping them
as immoral dregs on public
welfare rolls. We apologize
for not recognizing that
sexuality is a human trait
not a racial trait
and that teen pregnancy
happened in the "best of
homes" back in the day as well
before we did away with welfare
& forced these mothers into
miminum wage jobs two and three
bus rides away from their little
not-pale children [I believe you
called them bastards but we
invented better terms-
babymomma, babydaddy-
that I know all about
because I'm not just a grandma
I'm a babydaddymomma].
The kids were left all day
to watch tv and play video
games unsupervised. That's
what we call the bootiful
Clinton legacy. That's why
some very stoopid people
mistook Bill for a black prez.

But that'so 80s/90s.
Let us return to late 2008
when fair virgins of the
almost-no-longer-majority
race get impregnated mysteriously
and became upright politcal footballs.

Let's let bygones be bygones and
remember the golden-white rule-
when people of color do it, it's evil
when whites do it, it's a badge of honor.

The interesting thing is that Palin is nothing new. This is the typical Karl Rove playbook and demonstrates that McCain really is McSame. As I've said before, Palin does nothing but gains him people who were most likely to vote for him in the first place, or at least they weren't going to vote for Obama. I don't think she appeals to the independents and certainly not to HRC supporters. As for PUMAs, well, they most assuredly weren't going to vote for Obama, either, so if they vote for McCain, it's not like he's lost anything there either.

By coming out with more Rove type rhetoric McCain has demonstrated that they really only have one playbook. It'll be interesting to see if Americans fall for it again. Of course, the last time that happened, gas was about $2 a gallon.

Americans have demonstrated that they're tired of blue state/red state politics. I don't think attacking her will be necessary. The Democrats need to stay on message and interestingly enough our message is the same as well: It's the economy, stupid. If we stick to that and don't get sucked into playing this hate-filled game by their rules it'll be all good.

There was actually a black woman speaker, she was a business owner I forgot her name though. She came on around maybe 7pm.
BW better wake up, many are still running around making sure they baby daddy get his voting rights restored and focusing on the black male crisis.

If moderates and undecideds are galvanized by Pallin on the GOP ticket so much that they have McCain surging in the polls, blacks better head to Liberia after all and women better never agin get knocked up with an unplanned pregnancy.

Yeah I didn't think we'd get a worse administration than Bush/Cheney but apparently I was wrong. I am very concerned. Those Rethugs do.not.play. They want to stay in power. I've applied to be a Poll Worker. More people need to sign up for phone banking and canvassing and Obama needs to get those female surrogates out stat! Hillary really effed this ish up and may be helping McCain for all we know wo she can run in 2012. Cuz people are that ruthless and uncaring.
