So Much For Sexism And Feminism...Sarah Palin Compares Mothers To Dogs...Women Get Suckered Again By One Of Their Own!

Do we live in the 21st century or not? A woman running for Vice-President of the United States of America compares mothers to dogs and thousands of women sit around clapping their hands and yucking it up to an obviously tired joke written by a man and parroted out of a woman's mouth. What in the hell is going on in this country and what in the hell is going through these women's minds?

"What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull....."Lipstick."

These are empowering and uplifting words for the women of America? This tired-ass joke from a woman whose supporters are crying crocodile tears about sexism? This dumb-ass back room, bar room, private men's club joke from a woman who has done nothing but lie about her own qualifications and public service and then whined about being picked on when asked to tell the truth?

Women cannot allow this to travesty to happen to the women of America. Sarah Palin is a fraud and liar. This is not the history women want to happen. Don't be fooled, her situation is nothing like Barack Obama's. The GOP and John McCain have re-written the rules, Palin's speech did not address any of the questions about her records or her beliefs. Her speech addressed nothing about the issues that women in America face and what is she going to do for American women if she gets elected.

I heard a lot of distortion and lies about her record and I heard a lot of smears and attacks on Barack Obama, but what I didn't hear was any substance. What exactly does Sarah Palin stand for? I still don't know.

I do know one thing, the gloves can come off now. Sarah Palin is not a victim of sexism and she is not a feminist. She is an enemy of women, a dangerous one. She should not be allowed anywhere near the white house.

The truth is the GOP and Sarah Palin don't want you to know what they stand for. They know it doesn't appeal to everyone, and that is why their focus is to attack their opponents vs. tell us exactly what they plan to do. Palin is a woman who was once a member of a political party whose goal it was to Secede from the Union. How patriotic is she? She is pro-life, not pro-choice, she is pro-NRA. That isn't what the American public wants. Let's get real. Palin is a pawn in the women and race game.

If she was a true feminist she would know how to balance family and work without losing her femininity . She has placed herself in a man’s role with her stand up routine last night. Therefore, expect to be treated like a man and when the punches hit your glass jaw don’t you dare cry sexism. Game on!

I'm with Barack on Palin's speech:

The speech that Governor Palin gave was well delivered, but it was written by George Bush’s speechwriter and sounds exactly like the same divisive, partisan attacks we’ve heard from George Bush for the last eight years. If Governor Palin and John McCain want to define ‘change’ as voting with George Bush 90% of the time, that’s their choice, but we don’t think the American people are ready to take a 10% chance on change.”

What I learned last night is, after all that talk of a new direction, the Republicans are peddling the same old shit with a new (female) face. Hate. Fear. More hate. Us vs. Them. Hate. Hate. Community organizers. Fear.

Good thing only 11 million watched her vs. the 38 million that watched Barack and the also vastly more that watched Bill and Hillary Clinton. I hope this means folks are learning to tune out that mess. But, after getting my feelings hurt in 2000 and 2004, I'm not ready to bet on it yet.

Yahoo reported that Obama raised a record 10 million dollars 24 hours after Palin's speech. McCain's camp raised 1 million. After reading that article, I donated $100. I hope many others are inspired to do so.

I read that 37 million people saw Palin speak. That would explain the spike in fund raising for the Obama camp.
