One Good Reason To Buy Resident Evil 5 - Hint...Hint...It's The Same Reason Why Professor Tracey Loves Frank Miller's Ronin
I will be buying Resident Evil #5. I love video games with all of their sexist and racist issues included. Being an educated black woman with nerdy, fan girl, and tomboy tendencies is rough. Rarely are strong black female characters carried in comics, graphic novels, video games, or films. Since I almost wrecked my SUV staring too long at the promotional posters for Resident Evil 5 in some store window because I could not believe a video game was showcasing a lead black female character, I have been awaiting this game's release. 
It's for the same reason I love Frank Miller's graphic novel, Ronin. I have been waiting with baited breath for this book to be made into a film, it's been optioned twice, so we shall see if it ever makes the big screen. If they change the black female lead into some bony-ass white woman, I am going to go all NAACP on the company that produces the film! Rosario Dawson would be awesome as Casey, so would Paula Patton, even though she's a hit or miss actress sometimes.
Any other sistas out there willing to admit to their nerdy or geeky side? If so, what's your poison?
