Important News For Black Bloggers - NPR Cancels "News And Notes" - Show End Will It's Run On March 20th
This is a major blow to black media and black bloggers. The Bloggers Roundtable was an extremely important and influential platform for black bloggers. News and Notes and it's host Farai Chideya wholly embraced and strongly supported the black blogosphere.
Where mainstream black radio has failed to engage black bloggers other than the celebrity gossip black blogs, News and Notes opened their airwaves to all. I picked up many a new reader by being listed on the News and Notes website.
I hope that someone will recognize the talent and intelligence of the show's host, Farai Chideya and scoop her up. She's an awesome talent and a gracious individual.
