I'm sorry, but anyone who thinks that a feminist getting married is a contradiction of any importance is a complete idiot. Every woman, whether she is a feminist or not, better have some damn serious questions, considerations, and concerns before she gives up her freedom as a single person. Questioning the institution of marriage is not just a feminist enterprise, it's every woman's domain in this day and age.
And quite frankly, any woman that attacks another woman's decision to get married as a political smear/personal insult is honestly suffering more than a little bit with the green-eyed monster. Take for example, Ms. Kathryn Jean Lopez (pictured above). Unless Jessica Valenti spoke completely against the institution of marriage in the past, she has every right to go sashaying down the wedding aisle in her total feminist glory.
Further, to paraphrase my girl MC Lyte - Do not say shit until you get a man of your own! I think it really pisses off so-called non-feminists when they get beat down the aisle to the wedding chapel by feminists.
