I love publishers that will never give a dime to a talented and skilled black woman writers that actually have real stories to tell, but will give a $40,000 advance to Lil' Kim and a $75,000 advance to Foxy Brown for books they don't have the ability or sustained interest to write in the first damn place. I hope they NEVER get their money back!
Omarosa clapped back at Wendy Williams, keeping this situation as negative and embarrassing as it was when it first broke in the media. All black women lose when buffoonish situations like this come to the national spotlight. This debacle was no different than some cat fight on Flava of Love.
I have to join on team Wendy Williams here for a second and agree that Omarosa did this on purpose for publicity. Watching the video, she was nasty and rude from the beginning. And for Wendy Williams, she showed an awful lot of restraint for her. And I can't imagine that Star Jones appreciated Omarosa dragging her name in this mess or taking a shot at her at the same time.
To quote the Fat Albert Gang, Omarosa is "like school in summer.....no class."
Apparently, Omarosa and Wendy Williams embarrassed themselves on national television. I find them both tired and disgraceful. Why do the worst representatives of black women always get the spotlight? Watch this ridiculous mess here.
One, I am tired of black women like Omarosa getting book deals for doing absolutely nothing but being the stereotypical angry, nasty, and disrespectful black woman on some tired reality show. What has this woman actually accomplished that is truly noteworthy and important for African American women? NOTHING!!!!!!! Her fifteen minutes of fame ran out ages ago! And on a side note to Omarosa - Wendy Williams is a bitch, that's her standard operation to insult her own guests. Clearly, unlike you, most of them know that before they appear.
Two, I have never been a fan of Wendy Williams, but if white folks can have Howard Stern, then I figured black folks would not die if they had to suffer Wendy Williams. I'm not going to bust on Wendy's looks, fashion and make-up missteps, or her husband, enough folks are having a good time doing that. My only wish would be that she evolve as a talk show host if she wants to do mainstream television, otherwise she should stick to her down and dirty, nasty, Queen of All Media persona full-time.
My problem is not with Wendy Williams, but the fact that the black people that watch her, don't balance their lives with anything else. Too many black people have allowed their brains to turn to complete mush with an unhealthy diet of too much reality television and gossip. If black folks had higher expectations, they would get better quality. The problem is we as a people have no set firm standards about anything and it's costing us dearly, particularly black women.
NYPD detective Wayne Taylor, a 14-year veteran assigned to the New York Police Department's housing bureau, has been arrested along with his girlfriend on charges of forcing a 13-year-old runaway into prostitution. This case is clearly reprehensible and disgusting, but I am completely floored that any woman would be willing to help a man turn a child into a prostitute.
Zelika Brown, Taylor's girlfriend seems to have heavily participated in her boyfriend's criminal sexual exploitation of young girls. What kind of woman allows herself to become involved in such inhumane behavior?
