O.J. Simpson is going down like the Titanic today at that sentencing hearing. He's gonna get double-digit years. At 61, anything over 15 years might as well be a life sentence anyway. This dude ain't gonna be able to survive long without golf, white women, and something to sign and sell.

Yesterday The Gloves Didn't Fit, But Today The Cuffs Sure Do - White Folks Finally Get Their Revenge On O.J. Simpson

Don't get me wrong, I'm no supporter of O.J. Simpson. I have always believed that he either killed those folks or he knows who did. It wasn't O.J.'s fault that the prosecution presented a crappy case filled with mistakes and cut corners. Further, Simpson had money and like all the rich white men before him, Simpson could afford the best defense money could buy and in America that best defense often buys an acquittal.
What I don't like is how white folks went about getting their second bite at the apple that was O.J. Simpson. The man is clearly stupid and egocentric, but that doesn't change that he was basically railroaded by a cast of characters no one would have over for Sunday dinner. The prosecutors got into bed with flea-infested criminal dogs to make deals that they would have never made in any other case except this one.

This was not justice but plain old fashioned white folks' revenge. In their eyes a black man got away with murder and that just won't do. It would be different if white folks exhibited the same passion for justice with everyone that gets away with a crime, but they don't. Otherwise, I wouldn't bat an eye about O.J. Simpson languishing in jail for the rest of his Dummy Lamont life, but as long as Robert "Don't Do The Crime, If You Can't Do The Time" Blake and Phil "I Chased Her With A Shotgun" Spector are walking the streets free, unequal justice in America still reigns in my book.
