I Guess We All Now Have A Pretty Good Idea How Manny Ramirez Was Able To Grow Those Long-Ass "Womanly" Dredlocks All These Years
What kind of crazy mess is this? What man in his right mind puts the female fertility drug HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin in their body? Cheaters in baseball is why I rarely watch this sport any more.

He may be a cheater, but Manny can G E T I T!
I'm sorry, dude is still fine to me. Jus sayin'...
I knew someone would make that joke. To make it simple, although its a female-oriented drug, it can be prescribed by doctors to males to raise the levels of testosterone. Its the same as hearing about ladies popping a few Viagra...heck, if it works, oh well!
Time for (1) half the owners to be de-barred from owning a team, (2)a salary cap, (3) anti-trust exemptions to be lifted, (4) banning these fools from the game
Plus, maanny likely stole the HGC from the Octomom or Kate from John and Kate plus 8...
Just when I told myself I wasn't gonna care or read anything on Manny, but I just had to read this one. Are you kidding me? Umm, what kinda performance was he trynna enhance, and for who?

OKAY! lol
i can't say anything about his hair--i've got a good friend with dreads and they are just as long--but he keeps them up. as long as the hair is clean & neat--no worries.
gurl i knew he was taking something--the way he was smacking those balls (hehehe) outta the park!
i Pray that he understands that winning by any means is not true winning.
a bit too much super human-Force behind those hits!
Prof... "womanly dreadlocks?" LOL
BLKSeaGoat... LMAO
@ch555x,
Who says it works for anything? And that doesn't mean there are not side effects, that's one of the reasons illegal steroids are banned. It's not a "female oriented" drug, but a reproduction of a natural chemical women produce when pregnant! What does a man need with something like that?
And I'm not about to start popping a few Viagra to get a little stronger because I image, one might end up with a few extra unwanted "manly" type extras they didn't want.
And as much crying and whining Manny does about being hurt, he should never put any foreign substance into his body.
@Alicia Banks -
You're right, but taking illegal steroids might help you uni-sexuality! LOL!

B_E_H_A_V_E! LOL!
Prof:
You may have misread my post. The general rule of thought is even if a particular drug is made for a male or female, regardless of condition or symptom, natural or artificial, some of those same drugs can be used on either sex for different reasons.
I'm neutral on this whole steroid situation in baseball, so it doesn't matter to me. Here's a couple of links that will clarify this:
http://blogs.wsj.com/health/2009/05/08/understanding-hcg-the-drug-that-got-manny-ramirez-in-hot-water/
http://sportsonmymind.com/2009/05/08/the-other-side-of-hcg-and-manny-ramirez/
...and yes women have used Viagra, just not what you're suggesting.

ditto
i am not defending the steroids!
they are poison to the mind and libido etc...
i was just responding to the sexist dissing of long locks
i am locked for life with very long thin neat locks...and i know many macho men who have long locks too...

@Ch555x -
I get what you're saying, I think we're talking about too different things here. I don't like cheaters and that was the point of the post. Thanks for the info, it's appreciated, as well as your opinion, as always.
@ Alicia -
You like men with long hair, I don't. That doesn't make it sexist. Two, if you put drugs in your body from a female hormone, you don't know what you get, that was the point about my "tongue in cheek" remark about Mr. Manny's hair. Someone who loves to act so macho, but is running around injesting a female hormone deserves to get clowned in my book.
I will be checking out your blog this weekend.
