The HBCU Blues II - Paine College

Paine College in Augusta, Georgia is struggling financially just like many other HBCU's. Unlike some HBCU's they have just hired a new president that seems to have an aggressive plan to get the college out of debt. Good luck to new Paine College President George C. Bradley. Thanks for to Symphony for the scoop on Paine College.

Wow maybe all these celebs need to get together and hold a big ole HBCU telethon. Where are the alumni of all of these places? Or is the financial mismanagement making them keep their pocketbooks closed.

I have fond memories of the parent institution of my law school, but the law school itself, I couldn't stand and don't think I could ever bring myself to give them a dime. Especially while I am paying the student loan overseers every month.

Student Loan Overseers! Another definition is soon in the making.
You know Internet Ike Turners is a classic. I intend to discuss creating a special black woman's phrasebook with y'all! LOL!

Oh Professor Tracy, please do make a black woman's lexicon!! And give me the link so that I can put it on my blog. Can I add the short "BBBB" <-- Black Boys Behaving Badly meaning all of those guys who act like jackasses, and are REWARDED for it by black women? (R Kelly, Jena 6, Genarlow Wilson, the list goes on)

that's funny! student loan overseers--lol
yeah, we are paying one off here from rec'ing a phd.

prof tracey, not sure where you are in nc, but today's herald sun (durham) has an editorial in it speaking about hbcu's.

i just said, hummm that's interesting and we were talking about it on prof tracey's blog.

www.heraldsun.com

it does not mention private run hbcu's that in my opinion are in worse condition and more apt to lose accred.with sax, and everything else.

it speaks on the unc system and nccu.
but i thought it was very timely.
