Refund Relief Or Temporary Fix?

President Bush is expected to sign an economic relief package that will grant refunds to the majority of the nation, in order to jump start the stumbling U.S. economy. Are these refunds going to help or just be a temporary band-aid on the economic problems of the U.S.? I'm not going to turn my check down, but I'm trying to re-acquire a taste for Ramen noodles again. What do you think?

lol, we are both depositing them as soon as we get them! do you know if they are taxing them or having us claim them?

ahhh, the first thing that came to me was that it shows some kind of false love for the american people- on the lines of trying to save face. like you said, a band-aid on a broken arm.

whatever...they owe us so much more...i'll bless it and use it ! LOL

It is not going to do one bit of good. People are in serious economic peril. 300 ain't gone make a bit of difference and the TRILLIONS of dollars of mortgage resets are just going to keep rolling on. We are goign to have to take our medicine after living high off the hog.

Use your refund to go to Blogging While Brown. See you there!

WTM - That is an interesting point about the rebates being taxable income, I don't know. I'll be spending mine with quickness. LOL!

GINA - Alright, the mighty has spoken. Use your rebate to go to Blogging While Brown. Investments in education and experience always pay!
