I wish he would take "Madea" and go sit his a** down somewhere.

How can you make Madea more "kid-friendly?" I think Tyler's going a little too far. I mean, I love the movie versions of his plays, but Madea's been around for a long time now. May be time to retire "her."

see, now you are going to make me say something not nice! LOLO
i'm staying nice :D

girl, i believe tyler in all his "womaness" and his 'queen self', needs to use his wonderful talents and gifts for worthier causes.
it is a shame imo, that he is not meeting his potential at all!

i wrote about this in a post last week. (WHAT ARE YOU REACHING FOR?)

how when you try to do things without God-you will acheive some level beyond where you started from-but it will always be a place less than where God intented for you to be!

that is how i see him--"gottagethe $$" !!

he is so far below the blessing that was put in place for him-he has settled for less than.

i don't like anything about his movies-the h.s. kids i taught love him and all his mess-- i would have to stop their conversations whenever his movies hit the streets as you would have thought these kids had seen Jesus walking by!!

shallow they are-and they do not know you can drown in shallow water!

Professor Tracey,

There is not one single White man running around dressing up as a stereotypical White woman and making movies. There is not one Hispanic man doing it.

And yet how many Black men have made movies mocking Black women; Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Tyler Perry and let's not forget Flip Wilson who started it all.

Hollywood loves to make us a joke. And the sad part is that the majority of Perry's fans are Black women.

*Sigh*

For Chrissakes, can he just leave our babies alone?? Haven't these comedians done enough damage?

I think that it's time to launch a "BAN THE BLACK DUDES IN DRAG" boycott. I'm sick of it!

I happen to like Madea. I think Tyler Perry's movies are funny. But I do think he is taking the character a little too far. A cartoon? Come on.

Oh, LAWD. Hell in a handbasket, is all I'm sayin'. Stop the madness, Tyler. We get it - you don't like us, despite making lots of money from us.

Mes Deux Cent sums up the issue perfectly.
