Words For Warfare

“Surely the day will come when color means nothing more than the skin tone, when religion is seen uniquely as a way to speak one's soul; when birth places have the weight of a throw of the dice and all men are born free, when understanding breeds love and brotherhood.” - Josephine Baker

now if anyone can speak about color and all the other negatives that people have lived through..it is this Woman!

what a life she had! so much that she did, it boggles the mind-for me, it's nothing less than God that was directing her whether she knew it or not.

such a beautiful woman, and i mean from the inside!

@ wisdom

Indeed. I watched her biopic last wknd and was amazed at how much she accomplished in spite of her color. It's crazy how the NAACP rolled with Craig T. Nelson's character rather than considering what Baker had noted as racist treatment in the restaurant. The NAACP was a mess even back in the day.
