If Obama Must Reject Farrakhan, Then McCain Must Reject Hagee
I love when white folks dig holes for black folk to fall in and then end up falling into the very same hole they dug for someone else. Since Barack Obama was forced on national television to denounce Minister Farrakhan, the average white pundit has been quiet as church about McCain's failure to denounce heavily anti-Catholic televangelist, San Antonio megachurch leader John Hagee. Where is the Catholic community on this issue? Do you think the Jewish community would have remained silent, if Obama had the same responses as McCain about Farrakhan? I seriously doubt it. McCain really seems to struggle with bigoted supporters. What kind of president would he be for a country that still struggles mightily with respecting differences between its citizens?

Hagee just gets to be the crazy old White guy who doesn't speak for all White people.
You know we all follow Farrakan and agree with everything he says. It only takes one Black person talking for White people to feel they know what we all feel.
Yeah, I discussed the double standard on my blog as well.
This accepted bigotry is not a way to go. We know it's there but it shouldn't be tolerated.

all of them need to go sit down! they have enough mess to handle within their own camps...did farrakhan get his son off of those charges of felony hit and run? i believe he got a lawyer to defend his self against his son's lawyer--over the bill owed to the people that his son jackedup! in a car wreck...why his son is in his late 30's early 40's and has no money -no car in his own name, no nothing in his own name??? that they could find.....

Obama should not have taken the bait about Farrakan. I know he is trying to win the nomination but if the 'power elite' are already dictating who he should/should not affiliate with...then he is DEFINITELY in for a long hard battle. Even if he becomes president.
It will be all in the papers & on cable network news if he has dinner with an old friend the 'power elite' disapproves of. They are already going after his affiliation with the church he attends. Get ready to see the double standards.
