Money's Too Tight Too Mention
President Bush says the U.S. economy is just fine. I can understand how he see things that way. Since he doesn't pay rent or a house note, he doesn't know what it's like to worry about keeping a place to stay. Since he gets driven just about everywhere, he has absolutely no idea what it is like to chose to put $5 of gas in your car instead of spending $5 dollars on lunch. He's not missing any meals, not going without health care, a new pair of shoes, or having to tell a child no to a $2 ice cream cone. He doesn't have credit card or student loan payments he can't make or late night worries about having enough money for his children's education or his personal retirement. Yes, for President Bush, the U.S. economy is just fine, he can afford blinders.

Um, how many places you know that sells lunch for just $5 dollars? Even McDonalds went up.
Cosign Professor Tracey! I thought the same then when I saw this on MSNBC.
Taco Bell?

I'm in NYC and it's very hard. Only the street vendors offer bargain lunches. If you work in a "nicer" neighborhood, the vendors will cost more.
Priveleged people who dismiss average person's worries are so annoying. Really, can we take a man of old money seriously when he makes statements like that? SMH.
