What Is It About White Folks And Blackface?
I know the old rule, that two wrongs don't make a right, but sometimes it might be the only thing left to do. I have had enough of white folks thinking that being in blackface is cool. Maybe it's time for black folks to start running around in whiteface. Maybe black folks should start making fun of white people and let's see how funny they think it is. I have learned that folks who tend to enjoy making fun of others, rarely have a sense of humor when they are the butt of the joke. And white folks are certainly one hell of a goldmine of a culture to make fun of. Maybe then white folks will get how offensive the practice of attempting to mimic African Americans truly is.
North Dakota State University is the latest college to find itself in hot water over a skit or party featuring a white student in blackface. And the thing that really kills me about white college students running around in blackface is the fact that these incidents keep occurring on the most predominantly white campuses in the country. North Dakota State University has a 92% white student body. What in the hell do these white kids know about black people to be mocking them?
The other thing that kills me is the fact that these same students love to throw all-white parties featuring attendees in blackface and have the nerve to take pictures and post them on the internet. When they get caught, they always say they meant no harm. How can that be? It's not an accident that they didn't invite anyone black to the party. And I can't imagine seeing a bunch of white kids showing up in blackface at a party with 20 0r 30 black people in attendance. Somebody would definitely be getting their ass kicked and I'm not about to believe that these white kids don't know that. ATTENTION ALL WHITE FOLKS - APPEARING IN BLACKFACE IS OFFENSIVE AND UNFUNNY! STOP DOING IT NOW!

they tried some mess like that at unc-ch years ago. and like you said, when it hit the papers and the public at large found out about it--they said the same thing...'we meant no harm--it was a joke... yada-bs, yada, bs...'
yeah whatever! a slap on the wrist was given by the univ. and life went on- with them laughing cause they did what they wanted and got away with it ...by mans way---but uknow, God sees everything.

yeah, like i thought...busy carrying around their swollen heads and egos--trying to leave some type of bs legacy here on earth that will crumble, tarnish, and will give No Glory To God!
that is not a living legacy...they need to chose who they are going to serve...baal or Jesus!
the world will only get worse, we have to get better, call the lies -lies, and the truth-truth when we see it. we cannot change years of crap and mess in one day, but one person at a time - one issue at a time ...and hopefully people will see the truth and the light before their time is up.
these are the same kids that will be out in a few years running offices of gov't, and ofices in univ. businesses, and so on, and when they make JackedUp! decisions while in those positions, we will know why.
because they stepped over against God and their worms will not die and their fire will not be quenched, and WE Shall continue to go forth and gaze upon their rebellious dead bodies!

What many do not understand is that people have an unhealthy obsession with AAs. They really do. Its like they get to really let it all hang out when they behave like they think AAs are. Whoooo Hooo!!!

so...america is big on "tradition". a lot of black folks are experiencing the 3d's. denial. distracted. death---slow in most instances. as a direct result of their distractedness and denial.
a lot of white folks are doing the same thing that the generations before them were doing. making themselves feel better about their melanin deficient genetic recessiveness by subjugating/terrorizing those that are melanin rich and genetically dominant.
btw, they know it is offensive. they don't care. what are we going to do? make them stop? try no.
we will forgive them. we will beg them to love and accept us. if we can procreate with or marry one of them we will act as if we have hit the jackpot. we will jump through hoops and do everything in our personal power to convince white folks that we are the individual exception to what they believe about black folks. i say this with centuries of corroborating evidence to support the sad state of affairs.
black folks don't love or want to be with ourselves. we would rather be committed to loving white folks. quite a few white folks still hate black people and really don't care who knows it. if you bring it up they will vehemently deny it and feign ignorance. always have always will.
their behavioral scientists will study how we behave under persecution. these same scientists are not even remotely interested in studying the obvious sociopathic tendencies of quite a few white folks. they aren't trying to fix it. the way things are work for them.
before hip hop changed into this destructive mainstream phenomenon, somewhere i read that it was going to be profitable to behave like a n%$#er. 70% of the consumers of this so-called hip hop are white folks. since you can be "educated" without learning about anything but the world minority white folks...connect the dots.
i bothered commenting knowing that some will think i am writing "hatred". or that i am too focused on race. i do it nonetheless. it is my hope that black folks will wake up soon. we are not focused enough on race and black folks in particular. it is to our continued detriment.

Okay now I'm going back into my self imposed commenting ban...
One of the other bloggers on Highbrid Nation, Juan Perez, wrote about those idiots in South Dakota putting on blackface and honestly I"m not too surprised. Unfortunately as a black man I'm well aware that these type of things happen when there are no black people to witness them. Yet somehow mainstream tries to pretend racism is fading away. It's not fading away, it's just hiding. The days of the KKK are gone but have been replaced with a more passive version where people can do outlandish things like the frat in SD and then they can just turn around and say "sorry we didn't mean to be offensive" and everyone lets it go. This is what Obama is dealing with right now, a nation with tons of racists who don't even know they are.
