What Was Vogue Magazine Thinking?
This is the highly anticipated cover featuring a black man on the cover of Vogue for the first time? This photo is absoulutely terrible. Is Lebron James attacking her or posing with her? What in the hell was Vogue thinking? He looks like some giant sea monster attacking the defenseless white woman. This photo does not celebrate the awesome "shape" of Lebron James, it exploits it.

They look like King Kong and Fay Wray.
when i saw this i knew you were going to post something about it.
it is not a very good photo at all.
i got the same idea that it's some type of king kong faye raye thing...
not working!
i guess he didn't know any better...?
Toatlly agree it does look like King Kong and Fay wray
I read about this on msnbc.com. LeBron says that he was just trying to look "excited" (I guess about his success...or being the first Black man on the mag's cover, I don't know), and basically he doesn't care what anyone thinks about the photo.
Hmmm, when I graduated from college and wanted to show off my success, I didn't pose/look like that!!! LOL
Vogue states that it wanted to capture a photo of "two people on the top in their respective industries." I don't think their majority White readers will be too happy with the cover...
This photo just made the gap larger between Blacks and the use of media. It should have crossed the mind of someone that this was not the best way to present him.
Too funny! I just posted this myself.
Hate it!
And Lebron is an uberrich idiot of a jock if he doesn't see the problem with this juxtaposition.
Perhaps if he'd not gone straight from high school to the pros, and had detoured for a year in some higher learning classe, perhaps he'd get it.
I was speechless when I first saw the photo.
I remain speechless today.
