Former Newark Mayor Sharpe James Convicted Of Corruption Charges
Down goes Da' Mayor! Is Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick taking notes? This trend of black women putting up with their husbands running around with other women is disturbing. And the black women willing to be the woman on the side is just as disconcerting. Whatever happened to living honorably and with dignity?

I'm not religious but I know this calls for an "Amen!" Scandalous, low-down, trash. He did nothing for Newark.
As far as honor and dignity --- that's not "sexy." Giving into urges and having a willingness to lose your family/marriage and be disgraced seems to be what's hot right.

legis/repre get handed down a prison sentence for stealing money-moving it around from where it should have been to his pockets....all the while he was screaming racisim and conspiricy against him because he is black..all that mombo mess...lies i tell you ! lololo
he is a crook and he did a dis-service to the people that appointed him and thought he had their best interests up front.
i have no sympathy for people like these men and any women that are stealing and moving around monies given to help others.

a fool and his pride....that should keep him company while he sits in jail--cause i have no doubt they are going to put his azz right in there with all the other innocent, money stealing, lieing people!
He isn't the only one doing this the white ones have done it b4 him. They just got away with it.
This is really sad. 20 years of public service down the tubes. Sigh.

you are right, and lately 'they' are getting uncovered and slammed also.
i think people are just tired of that madness esp. with the low dollar value and on and on.
Sadly living with honor and dignity seems to be in short supply from many Black political and media figures these days. The sad part is all of the people who voted and supported him were taken for suckers.
I'm with you Attorneymom, it is just sad.
I lived and worked in Newark and experienced the administration that Sharpe James built or in his case, corrupted.
There is no love lost on the guilty verdict.
