Billions For War, But Not For Books

President Bush has proposed to eliminated ALL the government funding for Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) in his 2009 budget. Since Condoleeza Rice and Laura Bush read everything to him, he sees no value in little children getting free books to read. What country do we live in where it is more important to feed and protect other nations, but eliminate all the important resources for our own country? People need to start paying closer attention!!!!!

Last night the Dems met in a closed door meeting to vote for giving Bush another $100 billion + for his warmongering. I called the Speaker's office to protest but they don't listen. We have ceased living in a Democracy a loooong time ago. Also our lovely gov't is funding not-so-covert operations to attack Iran hoping it will escalate so they can officially declare war between now and the Nov elections.

It is a shame that it is so easy to more or less take over an entire country. Who is trying to stop this man and his evil? Who really even know this is happening? It brings up interesting questions on how the masses can be so easily subdued by the few. More and more, people are resembling sheep to me --creatures herded and use by the whims of another.

Can't we impeach this man? I swear to Christ...
