How else do we explain the so called Reagan democrats? The Dixiecrats? And how they are supposedly going to vote Mccain now that Hillary is out of the race. Lastly, Don't forget down south the Democratic mascot was a white rooster, and it was the party of segregation. Tami, June 26, 2008 at 10:24 AM: You know I've been wondering what the folks in Connecticut who voted for Lieberman are thinking now. I mean, he lost the primary against a more liberal Dem, then stomped his feet and pouted until he got to keep his Senate seat anyway. My gut, though, is that those people who sent Lieberman back to Washington weren't intending to send him back as a Republican--a moderate Dem, maybe, but not a Repub. When is he up for election again? I sense that his days are numbered once his constituency gets to vote again.
