Thank you for sharing this. I have long admired Mary Seacole and her incredible spirit. She was an bold adventurer at a time when most people rarely ventured beyond their home states.
The photo is beautiful. I love seeing photographs of our foremothers. In terms of communicating their strength and courage, one picture is worth 1000 words.
