Da' Hip Hop Mayor Of Detroit To Be Released But Forced To Wear An Electronic Monitoring Bracelet As A Long Leash

Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick will soon be rocking one of these sexy electronic monitors on his ankle when he is released from jail in the next few hours. He has caught a new case as well in addition to the legal trouble he already has. There is good news, he will soon have competition for the "Kwame Killed My City" sticker, when newly signed Kwame Brown starts playing for the Pistons!

Sorry JD, but that fact still boggles my mind!

Love the analogy and sense of humor shown where you compared Kwame Brown to Kwame Kilpatrick. Too funny.

No matter what Kilpatrick does, it will never come close to the wreckage that Kwame Brown has left behind in more than a few NBA cities.

her mother August 9, 2008 at 2:20 PM

As a Black woman blogging about Black motherhood, I couldn't help but see this issue through the lens of how some Black mothers, who want to protect their son's from racism, end up protecting them to the detriment of themselves and others.

This isn't about laying at the feet every and all things wrong with the world on (Black) mothers, but in this case, it's hard to ignore what it means when his mother, Cheeks-Kilpatrick, screams to the top of her lungs, "y'alls boy" in an attempt to get her son re-elected after so much deceit and blantant abuse on his part.

Anyway, I won't rehash it all here. It's on my blog.
