Please Help Boycott Books-A-Million For Selling Racist Products!
The racist creators of Obama Waffles have been claiming that they have a deal with the third largest book seller, Books-A-Million to sell their disgustingly racist product nationwide. If that is a true fact, starting tomorrow morning, I am officially asking EVERYONE to help boycott Books-A-Million!
Here is the contact information for Books-A-Million. Please call, write, and e-mail!!! Flood their business with your protests and let them know that a public company will not get away with shilling racist products on their shelves!!!

This disappoints me, but hardly surprises me. B-A-M has a long history of doing some pretty unsavory things, particularly to their employees of color and female employees. I know a few people who were either fired or left their jobs out of frustration, and they are all women and/or not white. I don't shop there, and I haven't in probably 5 years. Their stores are poorly stocked, the atmosphere sucks, and the customer service is terrible.
I haven't shopped BAM in a few years, also. And I just relocated back to the East Coast from California where there are no franchises (to my knowledge). I never was pleased with this bookstore. Recently, I was at the mall and wandered in. I quickly wandered back out--just had this vibe of ickiness! And considering their HQ is in Alabama; no surprise.

Sorry folks, but I want to see and hear black folks and other folks of color boycotting this place. We are currently getting your collective COLORED asses kicked in the public. WHERE IN THE HELL ARE WE?
This is the third largest book seller in the nation, it ain't just white folks buying!!!! We need to be shouting from the tops of our lungs at anyone that will listen. Black people are way too silent!!! Voting for Obama ain't enough, particularly if he loses anyway.
Let's get to work, I'm down for anything. Where in the hell are all these black bloggers?
THANK YOU for this information, Prof. Tracey. I just sent an email to BAM with my complaint, for what it's worth. There's a new store in my area with a black manager and a nice selection of black lit (and good coffee). I shop there frequently, but I'm ready to boycott if this awful news is true.
Damn shame. Spread the word.

Yeah, I already sent an email of complaint, but how can we verify if this is, indeed, being offered by them?
If it is, I'm canceling my 'book club' membership, etc., and will definitely bring this to the attention of the store manager.

@Dan - other than the words of the two vendors, I have no idea if they really have a deal. I am hoping that Books-A-Million will issue a statement saying they have no deal before it gets to far or the vendors are exposed as liars.
