The One Important Thing That All White Folks Missed About John Lewis' Criticism Of John McCain's Campaign Tactics and Rallies
As I watched white pundit, after white journalist, after white campaign supporter, alternatively decry, support, debunk, agree, dispute, or just plain old freak out over John Lewis' harsh remarks about John McCain's campaign tactics, I was struck by how all these nice white men and women missed the obvious.
John Lewis represented the first African American of any political stature to speak out against the racism and racist tactics of McCain's campaign. I have watched a ton of news shows since McCain's campaign went all negative all the time and I have yet to see one black person, whether they were the common man or the elected man, being asked one single question about McCain's campaign tactics.
During this campaign cycle the voices and views of black folks have been largely overlooked by the mainstream media, but this is a new low. Back in the day when there were questions over race and racism, they use to ask black folks for opinion, now they don't even bother.

we can't possible be judges about racism, were biased.
HA!
you are right-- they arenot asking many if any at all what we believe.
They figured out that asking us was holding a mirror up to show their faces. they would have to deal with the questions in them as they say one thing and do anything.
too much of the truth spoken.
Well Obama has already spoke against John Lewis' comments. He continues to apologize for people on the left when they speak up.
If they don't want black faces, why not give Tim Wise a call? They just don't want the truth
John Lewis was on point period.
