"Bottom Rail On Top This Time" - Senator Barack Obama Becomes The First African American President Of The United States!

“The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term, but America – I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you – we as a people will get there.”

I was so overwhelmed.

I'm pleased that he won in a definite manner.

It thrilled me to see Pres. elect Obama, Michelle and their lovely daughters. What a lovely First Family.

My hope is that the inspirations, the unity, the calmness and peace will endure for many days to come.

President(elect) Barack Hussein Obama! I proudly helped make Indiana go blue him! He's made Dr. King Jr, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Shirley Chisholm, Booker T. Washington, Frederick Douglas, Ida B. Wells, Sojurner Truth, Nelson Mandela, W.E.B. DuBois, Nat Turner, Thurgood Marshall, your late maternal Grandmother, and dare I say Malcolm X proud. And the people of Kenya already love him! In my lifetime, we did it! Oh, and HA-HA PUMAs! This feminist/womanist WOC is proud of the individual she's sending to the White House. I can identify with him despite having different chromosomes, for I too am a person of half-Black and half-White descent, and I see myself and my values going to the White House.
