Obama Suffers Two Devastating Personal Losses On Election Eve - Maternal Grandmother And Nevada Campaign Aide Both Pass Away

Today, Barack Obama's grandmother lost her fight against cancer. Prayers and condolences to the entire Obama family. Additionally, yesterday the Obama campaign suffered the loss of its head campaign director for the state of Nevada, Terence Tolbert. He was just 44 years old. Prayers and condolences to his widow and family. I think in this sad time that people remember the lesson that Barack Obama has taught. You celebrate and respect people whenever you can because they may not be there later for the greatest moments in your life. For "Toot" and Mr. Tolbert, they gave everything to Barack Obama and we as his supporters need to honor their hard work by taking the time to make the dream they shared with Barack Obama come true.

I bought my Grandmother a Mother's day gift at the mall a decade or so ago. It was a coffee mug full of flowers. The inscription on the mug says, "A grandmother's love is never forgotten". She's been gone since '94 yet everytime I see the mug I tear up. A grandmother's love is like no other and I'm sure Senator Obama has more than enough memories to last a lifetime. My condolences go out to him and others who are dealing with a difficult loss at this time.
