Save All The Post-Racial Talk And The End Of Racism Celebrations - A Black Man Is Still Not Safe In America - Even If He's The President-Elect

Barack Obama is facing more personal threats than any other President-Elect in history and he hasn't even been sworn in yet. Reverend Weems is right, the first family needs our prayers.

This is really scary. And it just hurts my heart to think that this fear will be with them (and with me!) for the next 4-8 years.... I have to believe that Obama and his staff already prepared themselves for the fact that white supremacists would be losing their mind.

These people are the true terrorist, if only they knew.

That picture you posted of Obama and the men praying over him makes me sad. It makes me worry for him. The picture tells me that everyone else is worried, too.

There will always be but jobs out there. If something happens I think technology, the media, and people will not walk away without closure and justice.

Trent -

You maybe right, but if something happens to Barack Obama, I can't imagine what will happen in this nation, so yes, pray for us all, but it wouldn't hurt to throw in a little extra for the President-elect.

Shurl,

Bishop Vashti Mckenize is in that picture, it made me feel better to see her there. That had to be some blessing he got!

Checked out your blog, this is tight. Much better than mine.. As for Obama, sad but true, the brother needs all the help he can get but that wasn't the reason for my post... I was looking at your list of conservative GOP folk who should be wished out to the corn field. You missed a good one-- Ann Coulture. That's one that needed to have been gone-- with a few others..
Peace.
