Professor Tracey Is Officially Sick Of Hearing Anything More About President Lincoln From President-Elect Obama

Enough of the Lincoln crap! I don't want to hear about Lincoln anymore. The picture of Lincoln in your Senate office, fine! Announcing your presidential campaign in the land of Lincoln, fine! Reading and appointing a "Team of Rivals", fine! Following Lincoln's inauguration train route, fine! Getting sworn in on Lincoln's inauguration bible, fine! Give it a rest now, enough is enough! I have had it with the white man hero worship! There has got to be something else that inspires you, President-Elect Obama!

What about Obama driving a Lincoln Navigator on Lincoln Avenue? ha ha. Lincoln was really not the man that people make him out to be. You have brought up an interesting question. Does Obama have any black folks that he admires???

How about creating his own identity. Sheesh!

Barack still gotta play the I am just like you games with white folks too? Having a white mama from Kansas ain't enough?

I'm trying to figure out how that ended up being quasi 'breaking news'. Enough already!

Bad karma. Lincoln inherited a divided nation and war...misery...one child dead...a wife who loses her mind...and gets shot in the head.

As for heroes, yes we're seeing the real Barack. He ain't about "us" as much.

Thank you Chris Chambers...I was talking to a friend about that the other day. Who wants to inherit Lincolns America? Yuck - bad karma is right. If you keep speaking on something or someone I really believe that you bring on their spirit and circumstances. Sounds a little loopy but I believe its true.

Well Obama is letting us know who he admires. A flawed white man who wanted to keep slavery going. Now some people can stop the hero-worship and see him for the strategic politician he really is. When some Black people realize he may not be all that 'down' it'll be too late because the masses are still going to be hoping and wishing.

To ActsofFaithBlog... You make a great point. I have certainly had my eyes opened to some things but I was never that deep with the hoping and wishing... Some of our people need to recognize that he is not the second coming. We must save ourselves if we are going to be saved.
