Eric Holder Confirmed As First African American Attorney General
Congrats! We ain't got a lot of time to celebrate this appointment, Mr. Holder needs to get busy cleaning up the messes that President Bush and his crew of Karl Rove, Alberto "Fredo" Gonzales, and Monica Goodling left behind.

this is the appointment that had me scaired the most. I am happy that Clinton is SOS and that the others were getting approved, but a part of me had a feeling they were gonna make Holder back out (like dude from New Mexico did). But I'm glad he got approved. Now hopefully things will change soon.
You are exactly right when you said this administration has to clean up the mess left by the Bush administration. It's astronomical but it's achievable with patience from the American people, even though many people want instantaneous results.
Holder must call for firings or resignations of the dead bodies floating around Justice promptly. Otherwise, he's not going to be able to get much done.

Do you believe that the systematic assault, murder and intimidation of innocent Black people within certain communities is a CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATION just as it would be called if White assailants did the same thing?
When does the low rate of "Homicide Closure" which thus allows "Killers of Black people" to walk the streets with impunity turn into a Civil Rights Violation?
A killer freed by a bigoted "All White Jury" versus a Black criminal freed by one Black jury who "doesn't want to see any more Black people in jail". If there a difference?
Wasn't it the Black community who suffered Back In The Day as well as present?
