Freshman New Orleans Rep. Joseph Cao Proves That He Doesn't Have Guts, Independence Or Honesty

Let's hope black folks and other folks of color are paying attention to how Rep. Cao sold them out on the stimulus bill. He represents one of most devastated districts in the United States and he voted no on the bill, not because he didn't believe in the bill, but because his GOP buddies pressured him to. No guts at all.

I guess Cao forgot about putting the interests of his constituents first and about trust. Not only did he bend over because of GOP pressure, he then tried to lie about saying he would have voted for the bill. That makes it worse in my book, being a gutless liar. Keep this dude miles away from the Congressional Black Caucus, he's in the GOP's pocket.

He has cousins right here from The O-State.

Voinovich and Tiberi voted no. Even though Obama won here. We bombarded their offices with e-mails and calls on the stimulus package. It did not matter since they are GOP members.

That didn't take long! None of the House Republicans voted for it. Now his constituents know what he's all about, but maybe a lot of them followed Limballs' suggestion and told him to vote against it. If not they need to get busy and get rid of him. Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Wow! Cao represents my state and I thought he would have guts since he claimed he wanted to join the CBC. I bet you that Vitter had something to do with it! He makes me sick! LOL!

When Cao first ran for office he ran as an Independent, he then switched over because he could not get elected as one. Some people just don't take too well to us Independents.

It’s a little to late for the GOP to use all of this new found fiscally conservative rhetoric, because the damage is already done

Louisiana can use all of the stimulating that it can receive!

Its the same game of "Voting Against One's Interests".

Maybe he voted against it because his district is receiving the least amount of the stimulus of any district in the nation.

Oh, why were democrats so for this bill, it looks like sheep following each other off a cliff

@Matt -

You clearly didn't read the articles. Cao lied, he said he was voting for the bill and then he flip-flopped. And he represents New Orleans for godsakes, they need every single dime they can get.

And the bill may suck big wind, but what did the GOP offer instead, but whining and bullshit and more of the same old same old? Doing nothing or the same crap you were doing before ain't gonna work either.
