Flavor Flav. Oh hell no! Happy Valentines day to you too PT. This one is going to be good because I'm not single this time! :)
Yes she deserves much praise. As someone whose lost plenty of relatives to Cancer it's great to see survivor stories. I remember being younger and they thought I might have had a tumor on one of mine ovaries but it turned to be a little bump and it was dealt with quickly. I was lucky because it could have been cancer developing. I encourage all women to get check for all cancer not just Breast Cancer.
Thank you for sharing Ms. Garcia's story, Professor Tracy! Over a year ago, I was diagnosed with a moderate stage of dysplasia. Though common in women, it can develop into cervical cancer or HPV if left untreated. Since that time, I have taken on a mission of being more knowledgeable about reproductive cancers. There is one organization that I support called Tamika & Friends, based in Upper Marlboro, MD (www.tamikaandfriends.org).
I definitely understand Chana's feelings of feeling as though life plans were at a halt. I, too, felt like 'damn, there goes the six children that I wanted to have' but it just reinforced my desire to adopt.
Thanks again!
Thank you Prof. Tracey for posting this. I'll definitly be following her journey.
