Alabama Gunman's Shooting Rampage Proves President Obama Is Right And That RNC Chair Michael Steele Is A Hypocritical Numbskull Who Is Always Wrong

Michael Steele is not a very intelligent man. Today, he was hammering President Obama about his plans to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons. Steele was of course all over the top in his attack on Obama, falsely claiming that Obama is attempting to repeal the second amendment.

In what must now become known as The RNC Chair Steele Curse, a few hours after Steele was running his mouth, some looney tunes dude in Alabama went on a killing spree with an assault weapon. I imagine there are quite a few folks in Alabama wishing that a ban on assault weapons was already in place.

No, Michael Steele is not a very intelligent man. And apparently, he's not a very principled one either. Steele supported banning the sale of assault weapons two years ago. Will somebody please offer this man a real job and get him off GOP welfare? It's affecting his ability to think rationally.

Damn, PT, I was just writing the same thing first thing this morning. But of course they will say why should the majority suffer because of the "minority" of men who kill. Sheez. Can't win.

Exactly what Rj said. Two of the victims were the wife and daughter of one of the sheriff's deputies.

The Alabama shooting was a tragedy. Today the same thing happened at a school in Germany. Germany has much more restrictive gun laws than the US. Those laws didn't stop that tragedy.

The assault weapons ban was largely cosmetic as the term "assault weapon" basically meant anything that looked scary.

The gun bans in DC and Chicago didn't stop those cities from being incredibly dangerous places to live.

You may be right, but if the law stops one person, it's effective in my book. No law or ban works 100%. And any place someone lives is dangerous, but that's not an excuse to make stupid and irresponsible statements like Steele. This is not an issue to play politics with.

I suppose those religious about their guns don't realize that their own friends and family can be killed in gun violence like this...We all hope for the best.
