Is The Case Against Barry Bonds Crumbling Into Nothing?

In the zeal to crush the hell out of Barry Bonds, it's beginning to look like prosecutors might just get stiffed completely. Bonds is guilty as hell, but I never appreciated the clear desire to string him up as an example, while others got deals or got off with nothing. If Bonds gets off, it will be because folks got too greedy. They should have made a deal with him.

Bonds will get off along with the others caught up in this so-called scandal. I think higher priorities and the lack of concern from many fans are contributing to this.

I don't follow baseball, but that doesn't seem to matter since my television is always turned to ESPN as I work from home. Here's what I've asked myself since "following" the Bond story. Why Bonds (and Marion for that matter) and why not the many other nonblack players whose names keep popping up? And why don't the black sportcaster point this out?

Well his former trainer has basically saved his butt by thwarting the prosecution. That's loyalty - or something. He isn't going out like Marion Jones.

Well, no one guilty should just 'get off'. I think his accomplishments will forever be tarnished and questioned. I get pissed because these people never confess, they just get caught. And he didn't care enough to ask for forgiveness.

Bonds and Jones were pinched for doing what Martha Stewart did, lying. This case is weak because he didnt say he never took steroids. He gave himself the out by saying, "I never knowingly took steroids." So Anderson's refusal to testify pretty much means they have a very weak case.

And he has a judge that has, on more than one occasion, let it be known she was not fond of this prosecutor and their tactics.

I just want McGuires record to come into question in the same manner as Bonds since it's clear he was on the juice when he broke 60*.
