Affirmative Action For White Girl Baby Mamas - Bristol Palin Gets Paying Gig To Lecture Young Girls About Something She's Not Practicing - Abstinence
I'm truly floored at this mess. Sarah Palin has been whining for months that she wanted the privacy of her children respected and then she pushed her inarticulate and uneducated baby mama daughter Bristol out into the public eye. Doesn't the Candies Foundation see the hypocrisy of picking this child as their national spokesperson?
This sends a completely ass-backwards message. Get knocked up, then get rewarded for being knocked up. What about all the young ladies Bristol's age that didn't have sex, actually got their high school diplomas, and probably could have used the extra cash that Candies is paying to Bristol Palin already over-indulged ass.
Why would any teenager have any reason to believe Bristol Palin, she's been repeatedly rewarded for her "so-called" mistake and she doesn't even have the guts to be honest and say so. If she stood up there and told those kids that she was having a tough time being a teenage mother, even with the financial support of her parents, not having to work, half-assed completing her high school diploma, may be I could look at this differently, but she isn't.
She has more advantages than 99% of young teenagers that become pregnant. She's not having the same experience as thousands of unwed teenage mothers. And her just telling folks not to have sex isn't enough. It's ludicrous and irresponsible.

I don't know how she can be a spokesperson for this group and then declare how proud and happy she is to have a baby.
Have they legalized marijuana yet? I'm ready to tune out this mess called "news".
Now you know what gets me about this, if this was Sasha or Malia they would have been considered permanently defiled and not fit to serve as a role model for anything. Why is it no matter how messed up they get, white women are always able to stand for innocence and purity?
we were talking about this the other day when it came out in the paper.
she has false modesty. and yes we also think she is being manipulated by her mom.
it's their ability to 'overlook' bad choices, and see them for what they are--bad choices.
some black parents are also part of the 'blaming name game' with their own children.
some make their daughters feel like the biggest slut in the world-when all it is is a bad choice; and allow their boys to have unprotescted sex without blinking an eye, as he keeps making babies with different young girls.
the baby is not a mistake--just the timing of an unprotected process used to 'make' babies.
to have unprotected sex--at any age if one of the sex partners is able to help make a baby, is an unthinking conscious action.
the one that mae person say, "oh it'll never happen to me".
And if neither person is in a committed/monogamous relationship- protection Should be worn!

She is not a very good spokeperson for spreading the word about abstience and/or wearing protection -- some teenagers are going to have sex--no doubt about that!
i like what you said Prof--if she came out with the truth that is is not Easy to raise a baby/child and the mother herself is still a teenageer--that would be so much better.
