Domestic Terrorist Murders Doctor That Performed Late-Term Abortions - Can Somebody Call Dick And Liz Cheney And Ask Them About This Act Of Violence?
I can absolutely guarantee that starting tomorrow morning there is going to be some serious back-pedaling, double-talking, and selective remembering from all the racist and sexist rhetoric that has been shouted and spewed by GOP politicians, pundits, journalists, radio show hosts, and bloggers over the past week. At least from the ones that are not completely bat shit crazy, hopelessly stupid or stone cold racist cavemen and cave women.
The news media and bloggers are quickly making the connection to the ugliness and nastiness of the GOP and the other right wing nuts to the disgusting and cowardly murder of Dr. Tiller yesterday while he was at church. This is being called domestic terrorism and I believe that is absolutely correct. America is a democracy, you don't murder people you disagree with in America. That is the behavior of terrorists and this nutbag that killed Dr. Tiller is a terrorist. Does anyone believe that this psycho would have not hesitated to murder anyone else that got in his way? A small child, a senior citizen or a pregnant woman? I doubt it.
I wonder if Senator Mitch McConnell will find time to speak out against hate speech now. He wasn't interesting in doing it Sunday morning. And I can't wait for good old Bill O'Reilly's response, because I think folks are just getting starting turning the heat up on his ass for his hateful rhetoric against Dr. Tiller. Oh yes, there is going to be hell to pay for the GOP and it's right wing cabal over the next few days. Plenty of folks are against abortion, but an awful lot of people are against cold-blooded murder as well. Dr. Tiller was assassinated in church, for heaven's sake. That is unforgivable and unjustifiable.
And this dude Randall Terry is evil personified. Why is that crazy ass zealots like this dude ALWAYS have the most fucked up personal lives? And why don't they never have the honesty or humility to see that the failures in their own lives completely disqualifies them from dictating to others about morality? Too many of these folks have a platform and too many of these folks have been egged on by right wing conservatives and the GOP. Now the chickens are coming home to roost.
I'm with Ta-Nehisi Coates on this one. Things are getting out of control and scary. Folks need to start being careful with their words and more responsible for their rhetoric. You don't know who is out there and crazy enough NOT to realize that you're just playing politics.

Respectfully, I disagree with you that there will be a coming to Jesus over this. This will be called a singular act by a single criminal individual, and the whole hate and awe campaign will continue.

All too often I am told to turn off the cable news or get off line, when I decry the hateful and divisive noise coming from the far right. It is not the vile words that litter the airwaves that concerns me, but the reaction of those who listen.
While I can understand not boycotting or protecting the likes of Rush and others I cannot understand why leaders, especially moderate republication are not speaking out more aggressively (an example – do we really need pro Judge Sotomayor ads on MSNBC or maybe, just maybe these same ads should air on Fox News?)
Lastly; how do people like Rush, Savage, Hannity, etc. sleep at night knowing that they are manipulating so many people who already filled with fear due to the economy and the changing realities of our nation (black president, change racial and generational demographics, etc.)?
