Serena Williams Has Breakdown At The U.S. Open - Loses Her Cool, The Match And Her Reputation As A Top Sports Professional

Serena blew it, plain and simple. The call against her was completely awful, but Serena's reaction was unacceptable. She's a role model and cussing out folks because you're losing a match is just out of line.

I am a huge fan of the Williams Sisters, but Serena just gave out what all the folks who hate them have been looking for. She needs to apologize QUICKLY and start making amends. Serena should damn well know by now that only the John McEnroes of professional tennis get away with this kind of behavior. She is going to be slammed hard and often. And I can't say she doesn't deserve it. The rules are always different for us, it's unfair, but it's the way it is.

I agree.. luv Serena but she has to work on keeping her composure.. She could take a lesson or two from the late, great Authur Ashe.

Perhaps she should have exercised restraint, but I think she was entitled to a blow up! She and her sister have been getting bad calls for years!

It was bound to happen one day. If she had brought her A game, the bad call wouldn't have mattered. Hopefully she and Venus will do their thing in the doubles final.

i don't think serena needs to apologize at all. she and her sister have taken insults and bad calls from day one of entering the tennis profession and have always exercised restraint - too much in my opinion. it'sd not like she did a john mcenroe and jumped up and down, chased people, threw things, etc. all she did was exchange a few harsh words..so what? i say go serena! she should have done that a long time ago. if a bad call was made, i'm glad she told them wherethery could stick it.
