No Storybook Ending For Future Hall of Famer Allen Iverson's NBA Career

He was my favorite player for a very long time. I loved the way this boy played. Scrappy and tough. I was proud when he was MVP. I am disappointed that he never managed to become a true champion, a leader on and off the court. It really is too bad that his brilliant career ends in such negative fashion. I do worry about this cat in retirement, what in the hell does he do now?

Iverson had the heart of a lion and the energy of a non-warrior, with the passion of a kid playing a game he obviously loved more than anything. I always adored watching him play. And I always pictured him retiring like Jabar, or Chamerlain, like an elder statesman with many titles under his belt. Aw, Man. Wasn't supposed to go out like this.
