Barack Obama Crushes Hillary Clinton In South Carolina!
I really wish John Edwards would get out of the race, I would have really like to have known where the people who would have voted Edwards would chose between Obama and Clinton. He has no hope, he needs to get out of the way!
What do you think? Will folks that wanted Edwards vote for Obama or Clinton? Will Edwards need to speak out on one candidate's behalf to swing his voters?

I don't know if the folks who voted for Edwards will vote for Obama or Hillary in the general election.
Right now I'm fine with him being in b/c he splits the White vote and I'm not altogether sure if their hands were pushed now that they wouldn't vote for Hillary.
But the other (pink) elephant in the room is that the south is just as sexist as it is racist. So the choice between a White woman snd a Black man is really tough for a lot of White men.
Hence the reason Obama and Clinton basically split the white male vote evenly with Edwards winning that group.
Maybe they'd just stay home otherwise. I don't think anyone really knows.
Excellent points JJ. I agree, I spent the last 7 years in the South and I really don't see the support for Obama or Clinton with White men. It is truly going to be an interesting election.
I agree with you. It's obvious he's not gonna get the nomination. It would be interesting if he does drop out to see who endorses. Maybe after super Tuesday, he'll drop out. I hope so.
Professor Tracey,
I'd like Edwards to stay in the race. I like his platform and want him to push Clinton and Obama to talk issues.
I think he'll be angling for the VP slot so don't look for him to endorse anyone.
Edwards said he does not want a VP slot, said he never wants to go there again.
It has been said more and more lately that John Edwards would be the "Attorney General" in an Obama administration.
That would be a far more powerful position than VP. A position for him to really kick some butt I think.
