Genarlow Wilson Gets A Chance To Become A Morehouse College Man

Genarlow Wilson has been given a full scholarship to Morehouse College. The Tom Joyner Foundation made it happen. As much as I am glad that he is getting a second chance, particularly in terms of a college education, I wonder if Tom Joyner and company have reached out with the same offer to the young women victimized in this case. Can you say, Spelman Woman?!

Wow...I thought about the exact same thing! I would be surprised if he did.

All I'll say is: at least he is going to college. I haven't heard anything about the "newly freed" Jena 6 going off to college or doing anything really outstanding...

Going to jail for having had sex with an underage minor? He'll probably end up a hero on Morehouse's campus.

Professor Tracey,

I heard that Mr Wilson's victim is in the Army.

I wonder why she made that choice. To get away after her reputation was ruined possibly?

I am astounded that none of these do-gooders that want to help him are even considering her.

You should so cross post this. That isn't a command, just a suggestion.

I'm disgusted. I don't care if the whole world loves this man. He deserves NOTHING in my book.

And now he's going to college.

No one ever says anything about the young woman who was intoxicated and gang raped by the those guys. Where did she go to college?

LOL! it's sad but true... a hero...lol. that's funny ok, i won't add a new ending to that comment-i won't go there..hahah

ok, could be she got offers-but they had strings attached and she turned them down....

he is going to to be watched so close, everyone is wanting him to do so well-it can be a lot of pressure-not a good place to be.

didn't he go to jail because the girls parents spoke up, but the girl was not saying she was done wrong?

see, i may be thinking of another 'story'....

I think it's good he's trying to do something with his life, but what about the young lady who was victimized? Why doesn't anyone care about her future?
